Description
This was done for a post on my art blog [link]
I drew this for the Illustration Friday topic, subterranean.
The second I saw the word subterranean I thought of the song "Subterranean Hell", composed by Michiru Yamane, for the video game Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow on the DS. Subterranean Hell is also an area in the game underneath the castle. One of the enemies in this area is a Frozen Shade, which I have illustrated this week. The Frozen Shade is a blue, floating, naked woman with ice abilities such as launching giant icicles and freezing mist in the air.
My illustration is based off this small in game sprite.. [link]
Here's the song I thought of, "Subterranean Hell". [link]
And a side note, the Castlevania games is where I drew my blog name from..

Ice shades and fire shades-always thought these
girls had a tragic fate in Castlevania games...
They just wanted to embrace the hero,
but were too cold or too fiery to feel a touch...
